SubscriberHi all,
I am conducting a series of structural simulations and importing the previous results from one module to another. However, I noticed that the name selections were not properly transferred. Some were missing and some needed to be redefined. How can I transfer all name selections without redefining everything?
Sincerely,
Eric

Forum ModeratorAll (face-, node-, and elemental-based) named selections that were defined before solving system A should come through,

SubscriberHi Aniket,
Thank you for the information. The named selections I want to transfer are all face- and edge-based. Does it matter if the named selection is imported from design modeler/spaceclaim or created in system A? I noticed the NS was carried along but they became suppressed, and when I clicked on it, it needed to be redfined.Â
I believe I have checked all necessary options in solution properties (such as process nodal/element components). Hope you can give me some suggestions!
Sincerely,
Eric

Forum ModeratorHi Eric, edge based wont be supported, only face based are supported. it should not matter if the named selection is coming from geometry or created in model. Only thing you should check is if it is defined before solving the analysis. To quickly check, clear generated data in cell A5, and solve the analysis again!
