I am trying to perform a topology optimisation simulation on an F1 Rear wing. I have assigned fixed supports with a protected depth to areas with share interfaces with bodies that have been hidden as they are not being optimised. They need to be fixed in order to still maintain contact with the neighbouring surface, in this case the main wing, however although I can see the region which has been assigned as protected (red region) the software has still optimised the area and gotten rid of volume in that area.

Hi, 

It looks like those bodies are inlcuded in the optimization. Can you please make sure you suppress those from the physics so that they are included in the simulation. Other way could be to select the bodies that you want to optimize by using this option:
