SubscriberI am curious if this method still works to effectively model fasteners, using body-body beam connections but scoping to the inside face of the holes? These are clearance/threaded holes and I am trying to build a model for a random vibration analysis. I have no other contacts assigned besides all these beam connections.

It is indeed possible to model the bolts as beam connections but please note that you won't be able to probe any results onto these beam connections.
If stress/deformation results are of interest in the bolts, then you may use solid bodies or line bodies with cross sections defined .

See here how that can be done – so it is possible to obtain stresses on them since they are beam188 elements with these results so we need to use udrs to get them as shown here:
