      Hello everyone,

      I Need an Information.

      Can I assign Ixy,Ixz,Ixz?

It seem that I can insert only Ixx Iyy e Izz

      Thanks for your support,

      Best reguards,

Do you want to assign, or see? If you wan to see, check the solver output file, under "PRECISE MASS SUMMARY"

      Hello Cri1994,

Do you have a solid body in a CAD system that you want to replace with a concentrated mass?

Below is an example of a body whose moments of inertia were computed by SpaceClaim. First, a material must be assigned to the body using the Properties tab on the left. In this case, I used Steel. Then on the Measure tab, use the Mass Properties button. It displays a table with the coordinates of the Center of mass and three Principal moment and axis rows. Screen snap this data for use in Mechanical.

In Mechanical, insert a Coordinate System and name it ConcMass and put the origin at the Center of mass coordinates.  If you have a single body, that is easily done if you use the Body filter and pick the body for the origin of the Coordinate system. Orient the ConcMass Coordinate System to match the three Principal axes.  Then when you define a Concentrated Mass, use the ConcMass Coordinate System instead of the Global Coordinate System and you only need to enter three Principal Moments of Inertia since all the other terms are zero in the Principal Coordinate System you created.
