SubscriberI am very new to Fluent, and I have a quick question about my XY plot.
Â
The white line in the picture is the velocity profile of the fully-developed flow at the exit. Why does it have this shape rather than the typical "parabolic" shape one might expect? Is this a problem with my settings in Fluent? Thank you!

Forum ModeratorCould be mesh resolution, convergence, model choice or a real flow feature.Â
If you've focused on getting y+ did you also resolve the core flow?

SubscriberI made a finer mesh but now I'm not converging in 1000 iterations. is there anything I can try?
Â
I've tried laminar vs turbulent and changing the velocity. I'm not sure why it's not converging. Thanks

Forum ModeratorWhy isn't it converging? Changing the model settings isn't a solution, that just means you're solving a different problem.Â
