Supercritical CO2 Fluent

      Hello ANSYS Support,

I hope you are all well. I wanted to kindly ask, would it be possible for someone to do a video on setting up a supercritical fluid in ANSYS Fluent. Preferably, supercritical CO2. From what I can gauge from speaking to people, it is not easy, but it has definitely been done before, a lot of questions would get answered, and a lot of people would learn.

Please could you do a video or a couple of videos and perhaps put it on youtube.

Thank you so much for your help.

      Kind Regards,

Why is this such an issue? Producing videos is time consuming and needs to be prioritized.

      Hello Amine,

Thank you for your reply. Myself and many other students are quite fascinated by supercritical fluids. I will be starting my final year of degree, and I have only just found out that there is a fourth phase (Liquid, Solid, Gas, and Supercritical). So it has become quite fascinating and I would love to do projects in uni around this, but I am looking for something to feed off. Very Very little work has been done on supercritical CO2 for people like myself to understand from. People do projects on deflection of beams etc because there are many youtube videos on that topic and so they can use those resources to expand on the topic, or perhaps analyse study a section of it. But with supercritical CO2 there is NOT a single video on youtube, or supercritical fluids in general or someone explaining on the board what is needed to simulate supercritical fluids, thus, it would be really helpful to myself and millions of others if you could make even a simple video on ANSYS Fluent of a supercritical fluid flowing through for example a pipe, one end to the other, with of course the air in the atmosphere.

I really strongly believe this will help millions and will inspire those people to make more youtube videos on the topic, but that cannot be done until someone makes the first video, that can be used to make 1000's of other videos.

Therefore, I wanted to kindly request whether someone from ANSYS support could make a videos or a set of videos, for us students, and professionals. And I absolutely understand that it is very time consuming, thus it could be broken down into several sections/topics, which will help the people making it and the students to understand it. And I and others will really appreciate your time and effort in making those videos, which will be visible from the feedback received from viewers.

      Thank you for your help.

      Hello Amine,

Thank you for your reply. I just wanted to ask, will ANSYS Support update us on here about the progress of this request, and what is the realistic time frame for this work to be released on youtube etc.

      Thank you for your help.

      Kind Regards,

I will update here whenever there is something which can be shared. I cannot evaluate the time required to do that before we decide to do it.

      Hello Abenhadj,

I hope you are well. I am writing to find out whether ANSYS support team has had a chance yet to produce those supercritical fluids setup in ANSYS Fluent. This is probably the best time as we are in lockdown, so I am guessing there should be a little bit of time on hand, to do the videos now, because when everything resumes, it will all be back to the busy life.

      Thank you for your help.

Believe or not that is now the time where we have plenty of things to do.

I have forwarded you request internally. Whenever you have something to share that will be posted on our ANSYS HowTo Channel.
