Direction of force from the Surface integral

      Hello,

I am using the surface integrals from the results of Fluent to calculate the pressure force that is being caused by a liquid on my surface. My surface is curved. When I calculate it I get a value. (Attached)

How can I know the direction of this resultant force? Is it normal to the surface? If so my surface is a curved body and hence how can I know from where it acts? What I need is the resultant force that is acting on the surface in y direction. (The lift)

I would like to know what the direction of the force that Fluent calculates from this and how can I find the lift force by following the same procedure (Area integral of dynamic pressure)

      Thank you very much !!

If you want the force use the Force Reports as they include a direction component. I think pressure is facet normal.

      Thank you.

I actually tried using the force report. But my iso clip which I extracted from an existing surface does not appear as a zone so that I cannot select it.

      I am attaching the image.

OK, options are to try and calculate (hard) or use the adaption tools to separate the mesh on the wall of interest.
