LS DYNA Basics – Surface Mesh to Volume Mesh

      Hello, 

      This is my first time using LS DYNA and I am finding the layout a bit confusing. I have a surface mesh (.stl) and want to convert it to a volume mesh. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? Also, any suggestions or recommendations on beginner learning material for LS DYNA would be really appreciated.

      Hi, 

      One method is, after you import .stl file, try to use tet mesh by picking skin parts this should generate solid elements ( check for ELEMENTS SOLID in keyword manager) .
