SubscriberHey,
I am defining a frequency dependent complex permeability for a Custom Material over frequency dependent Data Points by importing a .tab file. (10 kHz to 100 MHz) When looking at the plotted data of that import file, everything looks like its supposed to, a smooth curve. But when I then check the "Property vs. Frequency" Plot in prior window, the plot will be approximated in a way that everything roughly below 100 kHz becomes linear, even though it wasnt in the original plot. Its the same for Magnetic Loss Tangent, but not as visible thats why I dont show it here. Does anybody have a clue where this behaviour comes from?

SubscriberFound the solution myself. HFSS interpolates over roughly 1000 frequency points over the data that was imported. My upper limit of imported frequency points is 100 MHz as stated. So it seems that HFSS interpolates now with an even spacing of 100MHz divided by 1000 points, so every 100 kHz. Thats why my data is shown as linear up to roughly 110 kHz.Â
Of course this is not a good approximation for when frequencies are looked at in the logarithmic scale.Â
I am yet to find a logarithmic interpolation to accurately approximate frequency points in the lower frequency area.
