What should be the mesh size for coupled DPM problems?

I'm trying to simulate an ax-symmetric 2D bubble plume. I'm not able to decide the mesh resolution to be used! If I use very large mesh then continuity of continuous phase suffers and if I use a fine mesh then the DPM suffers!

What kind of mesh shall be used in such cases?

I just checked the simulation, if my laminar flow was even working properly or not! But it does not seem to give the correct solution after around 0.2 sec ( 2000 time steps) sim.

      time step = 0.0001, min mesh size = 0.001, inlet vel = 0.001 m/s. Solver = PISO ( I happen to use this one ).

Ideally particles smaller than cell size.
