Hey there,

ich need Help. Every time i want to start the solver on my explicit dynamics project, a problem with the AnsysWBU.exe appears and it crashes.

I already tried several different versions of Ansys with the same result. Also clearing the %Temp%-Folder and new installations didn't helped.

Unfortunatly I'm not able to get any Information out of the Dump-File by myself. I'm totally lost and don't know what the problem could be.

I have no problems with the static-mechanic-solver.

I would appreciate any kind of help a lot. Ansys v24.2 Student

Hi Christoff, 

The possible reasons would be as follows:

1) Not Updated Graphics driver : Please update the preferred graphics driver to the latest version.

2)  Possibly corrupted project : You can recover the project How to restore the corrupted project in ANSYS Workbench? – Ansys Knowledge

3) Model size and memory requirement: Can you give a comparision between the number of nodes/ total degrees of freedom between static structural model and explicit dynamics model ?? Have you tried once to open the same model in static structural and facing the same issue ?

4) Monitoring the Task Manager : Can you monitor task manager and check the RAM usage while the mechanical is opening ?
