ANIS
SubscriberI am doing to make a simulation of a structure which must resist to seismic solicitaion in Ansys Workbench.
the seismic force according to X = 595 N and 270 N according to Y and 250N according to Z.
the proper weight force is equal to 350N. I created 4 steps for each force.

I wanted to know how we can combine the load cases:
Â
·        PP(proper Weight) + SQRT (Fx ^ 2 + Fy ^ 2 + Fz ^ 2)
Â
·        PP-SQRT (Fx^2 + Fy^ 2 + Fz ^ 2)

SubscriberThere is a better way to perform a seismic simulation on a structure than doing a SRSS on three static loads.
It is called Response Spectrum. Do you have the seismic acceleration-time history data?
If that is not of interest, then you can do what you ask above by using Solution Combination worksheet.
It has a built-in ability to do SRSS.
In your reply, try pasting your text into Notepad, then copy it from there into the post to avoid all the formatting you got above.
