In one of my static structural simulations, I noticed the user defined result of "S1" is giving different values than selcting the "Maximum Principal Stress" result option. It's not different by a large margin, but the "S1" result is giving me ~ 2% larger stress values. If anyone can shed light on the differences in how these metrics are claculated, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Realizing I had a slightly different geometry selected for one result vs the other. They are identical once corrected.
