Help card!FLUENT-ROCKY 2 way coupling errors (no Pressure Gradient Force)

      Help card
I use fluent24.R2 bidirectional coupling with rocky24.2.0 (both are the latest version). The coupling program can run smothly, while it shows that  the pressure gradient force for grains in rocky is always 0 (see below figure).  I selected the item drag force and pressure gradient force in the module (CFDcouplingParticleStatistics). and the drag force can be calculated rightly. It seems to be a bug, because Rocky with version(24.1.0 R1) can output pressure gradient force.

If you have encountered and solved the problem, I hope you can receive the solution, thank you very much.

      Hello bowen,

Are you simulating exactly the same case in both versions?

I just tested it here in Rocky Tutorial 14 by activating Drag Force and Pressure Gradient Force module parameters and simulating the case in both 2024 R1.1 and 2024 R2 versions, and both results are looking roughly the same for Particles | Pressure Gradient Force.

Let me know if it works for you too.

      Regards,

      Lucas

        Hello Lucas,

Thanks for you help. I also try the Rocky Tutorial 14 in my local computer (in the office) with the version of 2024R2. It shows no pressure gradient force. While when i try it in our remoted server with the same version of 2024R2. It is so amazing that it can show pressure gradient force. Thus, I guess that the error is caused by wrong installation of rocky and workbench. So i want to reinstall it again.

        Thanks,

        Bowen
