SubscriberMy residuals for energy for a simple laminar translation periodic case was is going zig zag at .001. I tried changing mesh and mesh is hexa with .075 mm sizing. I changed all solution methods also. But no change. Then I changed under relaxation factor for energy to 0.95 and then the residuals starts decreasing.Â
But when I again change to 1 the residual starts increasing. So i again reduced it to 0.95. Will my results be correct if I give 0.95 for energy ?

Ansys EmployeeActually for energy equation I won't reduce it at all or at least try to raise it again towrads the end.
I recommend using coupled solver with pseudo transient option.
If unsteady do not alter residuals
