Dear experts,

I am intending to use surface to surface radiation heat transfer model in fluent.

I have already calculated view factor matrix required for my geometrical configuration.

However I am not getting how to write the view factor matrix in a format that will be readable by surface to surface heat transfer model.

Please do send me the suitable file format.

Have you checked in the documentation? Alternatively, have you written a file from Fluent on a small geometry to compare the syntax?

Hello, thanks for the reply.

As you mentioned in the reply I tried creating a simple geometry of radiation in between two parallel plates to see how .s2s file is getting generated.

But I am unable to understand how surface to surface view factor is mentioned in the file. I named radiating surfaces as 1 and 2 and I was expecting to see the those named faces in the file opened by notepad but that's not the case. Also generated file has unreadable text. 

I am enclosing herewith geometry created for your reference. I am unable to attach notepad file created though.

Remember the model uses facet clustering and not surfaces. The unreadable part is probably binary, have a look to see if you have other options when writing the files out.
