SubscriberHello,
I am doing the fluent analysis. after meshing and moving on to the setup I get this message
Model information is incompatible with incoming mesh.
Found some missing and new zones in the mesh. To make mesh compatible with settings, please visit " match zone names" panel.......
what exactly its causing the error and what is the solution?
Please suggest me.

Forum ModeratorIt means some additional/different surfaces (labels) have been created in Meshing and Fluent's not sure what to do with them. This means you've already transferred a mesh into Fluent in the current workflow. What did you change?

SubscriberMy model includes a typical flange connection with fluid and solid domains. After the meshing, when I took it to the setup module it took more contact regions/meshing zones(due to complex geometry) except the fluid and solid domains alone. So, I ignored the old contact/meshing zones by going to the Mesh operations command. it solved my problem and created the mesh. Is this the right way?

Forum ModeratorIf you've manually fixed all the issues then yes. If you've ignored some of the boundary settings I have no idea what's going to happen as it'll depend on what you didn't set up.

So here it is what I did. This is the very first step after exporting the model to setup module after meshing. As, the setup was unable to match the incoming zones with the already created ones, i just clicked the "ignore the old ones" and "accept the new meshing zones". Didn't go to the boundary conditions yet.

Forum ModeratorShould be OK then. I can't see any interface zones which is the most common cause of problems.

SubscriberThank you and lets see what happens when I input all the values and do the setup.
