Transient analysis – Soil Structure interaction

Hi all. I have the following questions regarding transient analysis included with soil structure interaction

      model

There is only self weight acting and bottom face of soil is fixed.

      1) How to create viscous boundary condition ? How to create a infinite medium in ANSYS workbench ? (Detailed explanation will be really helpful)

      2) What would be a better approximation so that waves don't reflect from the boundaries of soil ? I want to apply a base excitation.

      3) What is difference between modal superimposed transient analysis and full transient analysis ? I have removed link between solution of modal analysis and transient analysis' setup, then I can't apply base excitation at fixed base (bottom face). Can it be solved ?

      4) I have warnings when I use boundary springs around lateral faces of soil mass, to use a full transient analysis and MPC boundary condition problems.

Thank you for all the help !!!

Hi SriVin,I'm also want to model the soil structure interaction in Ansys Workbench but I found the same problem how to create viscous boundary or how to create infinite medium for ground boundaries, I want to use one of the two Strategies for ground boundary modeling, I tried many times but I haven't found how on Ansys Workbench.nHope you have solved this issue, could you please sir tell me or explain to me how to do it , if you don't find the solution please if anyone can help us or guide us I will be very grateful.nnI'm looking forward to hearing from you.nBest Regards,nn
