1 Geometry
2 : Failure of the named selection
Hi Every Body ;
I am simulating a flow around 3 d airfoil . I have 3 bodies ( airfoil , body of influence , fluid domain)
I have applied boolean function to substract body of influence from fluid domain (and kept the body of influence).
The 3 bodies are all frozen , i have grouped them in one part and applied share topology.
My problem is :
When naming sections in Ansys Meshing , i was enable to select the body of influence ( to name it).
I have thought this may be due to the application of boolean function ( especially when i have say YES to keep the body which was substracted )
So , i have deactivated boolean function , but the problem remains.
Can someone please explain to me what is the problem ?
I am very thankful.
Regards ,
Manel

SubscriberI don't know what the problem is, but I suggest you delete or suppress the body of influence, and instead use a Sizing Mesh Control, Sphere of Influence using a Coordinate System for the Sphere Center and enter a radius. Then only one body is sent to Meshing, the air domain. Since your body of influence looks like a cube, there is not much difference between a sphere and a cube.

SubscriberDear Peter ;
Thanks you very much for the reply . It seems that Ansys Meshing has refined the area containted by the cubic body of influence .
Since this body doesn't affect the physic of the problem , it is not necessary to name IT.
Now i have only 2 zones ( airfoil & fluid domain).
Have a nice day.
Best resgards ,
Manel
