What to enter in a Host/Machine file ?

  The machine file in the instructions says that a fluent.hosts file should have
  
  my_computer
  another_computer
  
  But, What is to be entered in "my_computer", "another_computer"?
  
  Is it the ip address, the PC name, or something else?

  Are you talking about a Student license or a Research license?

  Yes, the student license.

  You don't need to do anything. Fluent will work on the computer you installed ANSYS Student onto without any configuration.
