What means in Natural Frequencies Results, where shows "Units:in"

I guess the max deformation in the model is 1.1895", when the Natural Frequency is 87.653Hz, Am I right or not?

I have troubles to understand the topic.

      Thanks in advance.

      Regards.

      Hi

‘I guess the max deformation in the model is 1.1895″, when the Natural Frequency is 87.653Hz, Am I right or not?’

Yes that is correct, 87.653 Hz is the natural frequency of this natural mode – but have in mind that the displacement values (1.1895 here say) for that frequency/mode are normalized/scaled eigen vectors/modes. So the absolute/exact values (1.1895 inch) are not of importance. See here for  discussion on this: https://innovationspace.ansys.com/forum/forums/topic/unrealistically-large-deformation-modal-analysis/

The absolute/actual value of the displacement/stress is only meaningful when we apply a force later in a harmonic analysis say, and look at the actual response of this structure due to this force.

      All the best
