SubscriberHi guys,
Â
I´m working on a heat transfer Problem where a copperplate, which is in a tank, is heated up. The thermal energy of the copperplate shall be conducted via a conductor to the tank

my question is, how do I describe the process of heat transfer in the boundary conditions for contacts between solid and solid, and do I have to specify boundary conditions for interfaces in the wall zone as well?
Â
One last thing: will it be a problem to inclued a heat source in a sealed tank?Â
Â
Hope you guys can help!
Â
Thanks and all best,
Â

Ansys EmployeeFirst of all do you conformal mesh? According to the images you shared you have interfaces. As such create the interface with option coupled wall between the solids (side a and side b of the interface) -

SubscriberHey Amine,
Â
Yes I created a coupled wall within the mesh interface option. Afterwards source and target contacts will apear in boundary conditions in the wall section. At this point I don´t know how to define them properly. Also the interfaces between solid and fluid appear in the boundary condition area too.Â

Ansys EmployeePlease list the interface in the interface panel and past the output from the console there.
