SubscriberHello,
I have no way of making contact between different profiles.
I created a surface design in Rhinos, imported it into Ansys, and when solving the Explicit dynamic i have a problem, I can't arrange the contacts at all.
Â
Can you help me?

After you imported the surfaces into ANSYS, did you stitch them together to make solid bodies?
I would recommend you model the midsurface of the profile and not the inner and outer surfaces of the profile. That way, you can mesh the surfaces with shell elements and assign the wall thickness in the model.
What you do mean by contact? Do you mean you want a joint to connect those two profiles together as if they were welded? Or do you mean frictional contact that allows to independent bodies to collide with each other and bounce off each other?

SubscriberSorry for image.
No, I didn't make to solid bodies. But as far as the lecturers told me, the surface should remain.
i want set contact between two profiles as if they were welded

SubscriberYes, you want surfaces, but not inner and outer surfaces of the tube, for a total of 8 surfaces for a rectangular tube (plus 2 end surfaces), but 4 surfaces. Those 4 surfaces exist halfway between the inner and outer surface. You stitch those 4 surfaces into a single surface body in DesignModeler or SpaceClaim.
A very simple way to connect two tubes is under the Connections folder, insert a Joint, Type = Fixed. In the Details window, on the Reference side, select the four edges at the end of one tube, and in the Mobile side, select the four edges at the end of the other tube.
If you don't have a Connections folder right click on Model and Insert one.

SubscriberBut how to put this contacts in the whole construction?
Here, I have shown just two elements as an example. There are many more such joints throughout the construction.

Why ansys don't recognize bonded connection which are in Rhinos?
I tried to change tolerance, but it didn't helped

SubscriberThere are methods to automate the creation of many objects like Fixed Joints in ANSYS. Look at the Object Generator functionality.
ANSYS has a list of CAD programs it has written an interface to, which provides more functionality that just passing geometry. I expect they looked at the market share of a long list of CAD programs and made a short list to spend their development dollars on writing those interfaces, and Rhinos did not make the cut.

SubscriberHello again,
I tried use Object Generation but is not working or maybe I am doing something wrong.
Can You help me with this connection? Maybe I can share this model file with You?
