SubscriberHi,
I'm trying to enter a function for a velocity profile: 5 * exp(-Position.y **2/Position.x**2), and when I try to enter this expression into the inlet boundary conditions I get an error saying 'incorrect expression unit. Requires [m s^-1]'.
When I try to enter the units into the expression box, I got errors saying "'m' is not defined' and even when I try other units such as 'sec' it still doesn't work. I have tried '[m/s]' and '[m s^-1]' and ', where I am typing the units after the expression. I would really appreciate if someone could please fix this for me! Thank you.

P.S I am using ANSYS Fluet (Student version)

Ansys EmployeeWhat about using directly the alias x and y. Don't forget to make the expression in the exp function dimensionsles. The whole expression to be multiplied by 1[m s^-1] -

SubscriberHow do I make the expression dimensionless and how do I use aliases? Sorry, I'm new.

Ansys EmployeeLearning by doing.
You might divide the positions by 1[m].
