please how do you introduce lamination into a rotor if assuming the material of the rotor is steel 1010 using ansys maxwell.Thank you

      Hi abankusomari,

Select the core loss model under the edit material window as either electrical steel or power ferrite.

Then you will see the option for selecting the material composition as lamination and for defining the stacking factor.

You also need to provide the core loss vs frequency data(which will be available from the manufacturer) for calculating the core losses. As this data is specific to the lamination thickness this will take care of the lamination thickness.

Refer to Maxwell help for further details.

      Regards,

      Navya
