Dear Members,
I am trying to define a tied contact between stent rings and graft, that were meshed with beam and shell elements, respectively, in the workbench.
I have tried different keywords, such as tie_nodes_to_surface, tie_shell_edge_to_surface, etc, but there are always untied nodes (as shown in red in the figure below). What else I can do to constrain these free nodes?Â
Any suggestions from you would be appreciated.

Hello Yu Zhu,
Since you are defining tied contact in Workbench Mechanical, you can keep maximum offset value to 0 and try it. You can also set MAXPAR to 1.2 in place of 1.025 to tied corner regions.
