SubscriberHello,
I am using ANSYS Fluent to watch the air flow when installing one air conditioner in the room.
The standard wall function of the k-ε model is using.Â
The boundary conditions are 26? from the air conditioner, and 1.1 m/s from the ceiling at a 30° angle.
Only continuty does not converge.
I think there is a problem with how to cut the mesh.
When the structual mesh is cut, the cross section is distorted like this.
If you know something, please give me advice.
Thanks.

Forum ModeratorWhat are the outlet conditions? Or are you just adding mass to the domain? If it's 3d the odd lines could just be a slight (ie near zero) misalignment of the mesh & display plane.Â

SubscriberOutlet conditions are temperature 26 ° C and gauge pressure 0. I use Pressure outlet.
Can I ignore this odd line?

Forum ModeratorYou can probably ignore the lines, check the mesh in Workbench Meshing and turn on the "full cells" in the cut plane (it's the blue triangle on the cut plane panel). I'd also recommend using a multibody part to avoid the need for non-conformal interface.Â
Assuming the outlet is near the top, the poor convergence is likely caused by flow instabilities.Â

SubscriberIs the blue triangle on the cut plane panel a refinement?
Please tell me how to use multi-body parts.
I see. Please let me know if you have any good ideas.

SubscriberHello,
I was able to converge safely.
Thanks.

Forum ModeratorBlue triangle displays the whole cell, otherwise if the section plane cuts a cell it'll show some extra lines that can be confusing.Â
