SubscriberThe mesh you have looks good. Since the spring ends with a ground surface, the cross-section is non-uniform at the end making a mapped mesh practially impossible. What you could do is cut the ends off and use Shared Topology to have a swept mesh in the center of the spring and the two non-uniform ends could have a tet mesh with a pyramid interface to hex elements. I suggest you don't waste your time doing all that.
