I'd not worry about it too much. The boundary turbulence values will be damped/enhanced within the first few cells providing the values are sensible. Whilst the velocity, temperature boundaries need to be set precisely, turbulence just needs to be good enough. That's why we always move flow boundaries some distance from the area of interest.
