SubscriberHello everyone.
I calculated a solid volume model and got von Mises stresses.
What are the ways to get membrane and bending stresses on a volume (solid) body? Standard settings allow you to get membrane and bending stresses only for shells. -

Ansys EmployeeHey, to get membrane and bending stress for a solid model you can refer to this Ansys help link 19.5.6. Linearized Stress (ansys.com).
Things to keep in mind while doing this
- Keep the general miscellaneous option in analysis - output controls settings turned ON
- When you define the path make sure to include a coordinate system where the X axis of the coordinate system points in the same direction of the path created.
Let me know if this works out for you.
Thanks
