I am currently working on a simulation for sheet metal forming using LS-DYNA. I have set a simulation time of 2 seconds, but the program unexpectedly ends after reaching 0.5 seconds, displaying the message 'termination cycle reached.' I am puzzled by this premature termination and would appreciate any insights into the possible reasons behind this issue. Has anyone encountered a similar situation or could provide guidance on troubleshooting this termination cycle reached message in LS-DYNA simulations? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Hello,Â
Please verify a value under ENDCYC in *CONTROL_TERMINATION.Â
Some suggestion, running a simulation for 10M cycles is not recommended due to the round-off error. Could you please check if times step can be increase by activating mass scaling in the model |DT2MS| flag in *CONTROL_TIMESTEP? To minimize the round-off error please consider using a double precision solver.Â
Please let me know if that helps.ÂThank you,
AlexÂÂ
