Case 1: Using midsurfaces

Boundary condition

Mesh : Automatic settings

Result: It can be seen that there is hardly any difference in temperature even though all three materials are different

Case 2: Using solid bodies

Boundary conditions

Mesh: Automatic settings

Result: Here it can be seen that there is significant difference in temperature as per material properties. 

Shouldn't midsurface case and solid case give same results? Please guide.
