SubscriberHi everyone, posting here as my last resort. Your help will be very much appreciated. I am trying to replicate the simulation results that this paper got:
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2214785323006661#b0020It seems like the easiest paper to start with for ANSYS pre ACP. But I couldn't match the results no matter what. I can't seem to find anything wrong with what I'm doing so maybe a second pair of eyes can help greatly.
First I matched the material property in the paper:

Went to "Model" in ACP Pre to assign material, thickness, and mesh:

Set fabric property and modelling ply in ACP Pre:

ACP Pre result (I'm using solid element that's why I created the SolidModel):

Static Structural Boundary Condition (Fixed support and Force on "Face"):

Forum ModeratorHello,
Did you perform the modal analysis? I see that paper has a section on modal analysis. You can perform modal analysis and check if the frequencies match for your model when compared with paper. If no then you need to check whether the frequency is higher or lower and accordingly check for stiffness of the structure (assuming that mass is same).
