I am using PyMAPDL 0.68.4 to interact with Ansys Mechanical APDL 2024R2, in order to study Nonlinear Buckling of Stiffened Plates.
I am receiving some errors of the solver, which in GUI ends the analysis but the data is still avaiable to check out. In PyMAPDL, in other hand, I am not being able to do that, because the gRPC connection closes when it receives an error from the solver.
Is there a way to make PyMAPDL not close the gRPC connection when a error occurs in SOLVE?
I need to obtain the calculated values in the SOLVE step, but when an error occurs, such as an "Element 3600 has excessive thickness change", the gRPC connection closes and I am not able to extract any values from it.
Is there a way to do that in PyMAPDL? -

Hi
Write in PyMAPDL (github sites), depending what you want to do and where to do this.
(e.g., pymapdl questions: https://github.com/ansys/pymapdl/discussions)
The forum here is for mechanical/apdl general type of questions (not pyMAPDL)
All the best
Erik
