Plotting generic nodal or elemental data on a model in Workbench Mechanical

  Hello friends,
  
  I'm working on a project where I need to import a generic set of data (nodal or element values on every node) on a model and generate a contour plot in Workbench Mechanical. I've tried using the external module, but I don't want to have units on the data nor do I want to imply there is a temperature, body density, or pressure anywhere on the model. Is there any way to do this?
  
  The data includes the node or element number along with the associated value. I would prefer not to use coordinates to accomplish this.
