I have a question regarding the mooring line calculations as you mentioned in your post on July 24th. You mentioned an equation to calculate the unstretched length which is as follows:
Unstretched length = initial attachment point distance - (Pretension/stiffness)
Could you explain this in more detail? Because I imagined that the unstretched length to be the longest but from this equation, the initial attachment point distance seems to always be larger than the unstretched length.
