      Hi,

Please, I'm facing some difficulties to model a cup deep drawing. The blank (flexible) is not sliding over the die (rigid), what causes the blank elements to break up . Does anyome have some tips to help me? Thanks.

What is the velocity profile of the punch? Does it ramp up from zero velocity or is there an impact?  Make the velocity ramp up from zero. Don't have an impact.

Thank you very much for repplying Peter,

My boundary condition is a presctibed displacement (36mm) on the punch. The velocity comes to be very high, since I'm using a very low end time (10e-6) in order to make the simulation run in a reasonable time. It does have an impact, since the punch departures from a 3,0 mm distance from the blank.

I'll gonna make the punch start moving from a point in contact with the blank, and reduce the end time to 10e-1, in order to bring it to a realistic velocity. It is going to take a lot longer, but it is probably going to work!!

      It worked!

The cause was the velocity too high, and the impact, as you said.

      Thanks again!
