I have an assembly for a cold-formed steel column (two C-sections connected by their webs using a gusset), a force applied to the end of the beam, I need the von misses stress / time graph to stop when the breaking limit of the 3 materials used are reached (yield limit = 380 MPa, breaking limit = 484 MPa for the C-sections, yield limit = 360 MPa, breaking limit = 540 MPa for the gusset and yield limit = 640 MPa, breaking limit = 800 MPa for the bolts.
the von misses stress is compared with the breaking limit of the material, if the von misses stress exceeds the breaking limit then there is rupture of the material, and the stress-strain graph returns to 0, my question is how to make ansys show this in the graph.
how can I do that? thanks -
