Hello, for my thesis I have to compare the results of analytical and numerical results of the Bernoulli and Timoshenko beam theory. Since I am very new to Ansys, I would need some help with the right setup of the beam. It should be in 3D. Do I have to do any specific settings so it calculates correctly? I am simulating on a cantilever beam. At the clamping the whole surface is fixed in X-Direction. In Z-Direction the horizontal cross section centerline is fixed and in y-Direction the vertical cross section centerline is fixed.  Thank you!

Hi Kristof,
You just have to apply a fixed support at the end to be clamped.
Check this course on Ansys Innovation Space for more inofrmation.
