HI
I am running fluent 2023R2 on uni hpc and writing data files using file/ write-data ani.dat But it is not following the name 'ani' as given by me and saving them with an arbitrary file name (apparently with the save location of fluent files, dp0, etc.). What to do in this case? I am using fluent 2023R2 locally and uploading the .cas and .dat file onto HPC and running there.

Hello,
Ensure the path directory specified is correct and please try again.

Hi,
The option /file/auto-save/root-name is not there in the TUI list in fluent 2023 R2 but seems to work fine when submitted in a journal file. Can you please explain this?
Also, what is the difference between write-data and auto-save in ansys? both of them do the same job of writing cas and dat files right?
Thanks!
