Subscriberi had a cad geometry which consists of both fluids and solid regions and i could able to generate the surafce mesh in fluent , but when i try to apply the share topology it taking so much time and not getting any message ....
some times i even got an error that on of the solid is connected to volume mesh ..
any help regarding the share topology.

Forum ModeratorIt can depend on the geometry. Can you do the Share Topo in the Geometry tool?

Ansys EmployeeI would also suggest you try to share topology at the CAD level.

SubscriberTo address the shared topology issue, try refining the mesh at the interface of the solid and fluid regions and ensure that all boundaries are properly defined. Additionally, check for overlapping or incorrectly connected elements in your geometry. Running a mesh diagnostic can also help identify potential problems. If the issue persists, try simplifying the geometry or meshing smaller sections at a time.Â
