SubscriberHello,
I'm trying to find out how ANSYS calculate contact pressure in Contact Tool. I couldn't find the formula or equation that calculate the pressures at the contacts. I also want to learn about the Display Options, Averaged, Unaveraged, Nodal difference and Nodal fraction in Contact Tool. I couldn't find this information in the manual.
The issue that I have is I can see a difference between the contact and target surface pressure in my simulation and want to know the reason.
I reviewed Introduction to Contact by ANSYS and saw the following example. We can see the maximum pressure between the contact and target is totally different. Is that because of the mush quality?
Thanks,
Jimmy
