Using Lumerical 2023 R1.2. When I define a curved waveguide using the built-in waveguide object wiith 4 points, I can model a quarter of a ring resonator.
This shows up correctly in the preview.ÂHowever, when I run the FDTD simulation, I see that the mesh treats my waveguide object as a straight line instead of a bezier curve!
This is a very critical bug for a research level software. How can this be fixed? I included a screenshot to show exactly what I'm talking about. This problem persists no matter what `mesh accuracy` I set in the FDTD edit window. -

It is possible that this was due to a bug in Lumerical 2023 R1.2 and resolved in more recent releases, so I suggest updating to the most recent version of the software. If updating to the latest version does not resolve the issue, please reply back to let me know.Â
