Hi,
I am simulating a set of piezoelectrics (2 rows and 8 columns). I want to know what "voltage coupling" will do. If I couple two faces by voltage coupling, it means their voltage will remain the same during simulation or it means their voltages have a 180-degree phase difference regarding each other?
If I give the voltage of one face, is there any need to provide the voltage of the other face?
Thank you so much

Hi Amir,
Voltage coupling is used to model the equipotential surfaces, edges, vertices. The Voltage Coupling links the behaviors of a group of geometric elements together. This means that the results calculated for one element of the group will apply to all elements within the group.

I think this concept is important for anyone working with piezoelectric materials geometry dash deadlocked as it can have a significant impact on simulation results. Have you encountered any particular challenges or insights when implementing piezoelectric coupling in your projects?

Voltage coupling ensures coupled faces share the same potential during simulation. Assigning voltage to one face automatically applies it to the other, eliminating the need for separate voltage conditions. It doesn’t imply a 180-degree phase geometry dash difference unless explicitly defined in the simulation settings.
