Good morning,
My name is Sergio Gimeno and I am currently carrying out my master's degree project in Automotive Engineering.
For this, my tutor has shared with me a .db file for Ansys APDL, which I can not solve, because one of the elements that conforms it, is not recognized by versions such as 2022 R2 (from the virtual desktop of my university) or 2023 R2 (version that I installed on my computer) etc..
I suppose this is because the file was generated in version 2021 R1, which is the version they work with on their computers, but which I don't have access to in any way that I know of.
The error in question is the following 'element routine el07 has not neen written' (I could attach a screenshot in case you need it).
That said, I would like to request, if possible, temporary access to the 2021 R1 version, or, an alternative in order to solve the error I am getting and proceed with de project.
I remain at your disposal in case you have any questions.
Lastly, I also contacted with your team through a form and the told me to post this topic in the Learning Forum in order to get a Moderator answer.Kind regards and thank you.

You'd need University IT to download & install an older copy, that's available on the Customer side of the ansys.com site. As a Student you won't have access, your Prof should. That should then run on a University machine that's connected to the licence server. There is no build of Student available older than 2023R2.
I would be surprised if an element type had been retired in that way, I'll check.
