SubscriberTurn on Automatic Time Stepping and let the solver decide on the number of substeps it needs.
The initial would be whatever you are currently using since the solve gets started, like 400.
The minimum could be 10 times smaller than you are currently using, like 40.
The maximum substeps could be 10 times larger, 4000.

SubscriberSmaller substeps may not resolve the distortion error. Â
Smaller elements may be required to resolve the distortion error.
Use the Newton Raphson Residual Plots to show you which elements need to be revised.
