I've tried to download ANSYS Student in both 2024 R1 and 2024 R2 on my PC (which meets all system requirements) and in both editions, Mechanical just vehemently refuses to work.Â
Mechanical 2024 R1 opens to a blank screen, spitting out "an error has occured in the script on this page" that points to different .htm or .js files, upon every click of a button. In the case of Mechanical 2024 R2 (which I've uninstalled) it wouldn't open at all, producing an error that said "object reference not set to an instance of an object".
I've installed, uninstalled, purged my PC of all ANSYS-related files, reinstalled a different version, repeated this process maybe 5 times, updated my graphics drivers, disabled antivirus, run everything as administrator, reset environmental variables, migrated from Windows 10 to 11, and even gone as far as turning my PC off and on again, but nothing works. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to fix this.

Hi James,
Goto %appdata% and delete Ansys folder, and relaunch the application.
