Hi, the soil element becomes distorted when subjected to an explosion, thus the calculation will be unstable, especially for the LAG method. We can assign the soil as multi-materials ALE and set the ELFORM of *SECTION_SOLID to 11. If you still have a problem, feel free to contact me.
By the way, the parameters of soil can be found on the LSTC website.
