Importing coil losses from Maxwell to Fluent

      Hello,

I am trying to import from Maxwell to Fluent the copper (stranded) losses in the stator coils of a three-phase rotating electric machine. I do it by clicking on File>EM Mapping>Volumetric energy source. Then, I plot the losses through Results>Contour>Temperature EM Volume Source. However, as you may see in the attached capture, the losses are not correctly set in the corners of the end windings of the coils. That part of the coils was previously fixed by me (replaced round corners by sharp corners) using the fill tool of Discovery SpaceClaim.  It seems that when I modified that part of the geometry, the link between the Maxwell and Fluent geometry is somehow broken, so the losses are not properly distributed once I try to import them. How can I easily get the losses also distributed in that part of the coils that I have fixed in the process?

      Thank you.

Did you include the sharp or rounded corner in the Maxwell model?

Dear Rob, thank you for your help. I have now solved the problem by ensuring that the geometry in Maxwell was exactly the same as in Fluent, incluing the sharp corner (insteadof rounded).
