SubscriberHi everyone,I am trying to present the results of the simulation in a contact tool and I would like to show contact between the gearwheel and the rack. However, the program only shows one the contact type or “contact” (on the gearwheel) or only the “target” type (on the rack), but I would like to show both types at the same time. Simulation animation shows nicely on both parts, but not in the contact tool. I can’t find solution on this problem. Below in the picture I am presenting the described situation (it shows contact only on the rack, and I would like it to be shown also on the gearwheel).
Any idea on how to get this visualitation?

SubscriberThe contact tool is useful to plot things like contact pressure.
The view you show above is a profile view of the geometry, so the contact surface becomes basically a line.
Why not just show the geometry?

SubscriberI don't understand. I can show using worksheet or geometry selection. Both the first and second options doesn't work. I am just studying this tool and I don’t know how it work.

SubscriberYou have a Contact Tool in the Solution branch. Right mouse click on that tool and Insert a Pressure result.
Rotate the view you have above 90 degrees to show the face in plan view instead of on edge. Then you will see the pressure distribution on the contact face.
